Accessible website For inclusive digital use
Lightnet is actively committed to digital inclusion. The aim is to make the website accessible and usable for all people, regardless of physical or sensory limitations.
Our measures at a glance:
- Keyboard operability
- The entire website can be used without a mouse. All navigation elements are accessible using the tab key, which is particularly beneficial for users with motor impairments.
- Screen reader compatibility
- The website is structured in such a way that it can be used with common screen readers. Headings, lists, forms and links are semantically correct and enable structured and comprehensible speech output.
- ALT texts for images
- We have already provided numerous images with meaningful ALT texts that describe the image content for people with visual impairments. We are currently working on providing all remaining images with accessible alternative texts.
- Ongoing optimisation
- The accessibility of our website is continuously reviewed and optimised.
With these measures, Lightnet is making an active contribution to digital participation – today and in the future.
Instructions for using the tab functionality on the website
Our website has been designed with user-friendly navigation that can be operated entirely using the tab key on the keyboard. This enables efficient and accessible use of the site, especially for users who cannot or do not wish to use a mouse.
How to use the tab key:
- Navigation through links and buttons - Press the tab key on your keyboard to navigate through the interactive elements (e.g. links, buttons, form input fields) on the website. → Each press of the tab key moves the focus to the next element.
- Selecting menus and sub-items - Once the focus is on a menu item, you can press Enter to open the corresponding submenu or make a selection.
- Return to the previous element - Use Shift + Tab to return to the previous element.
- Submenus can be opened with the down arrow key and closed with the ESC key. The Enter key opens the focused main or sub-navigation point, i.e. follows the link.
