The ‘FORESTaurant’ canteen operated by Sodexo at the Centre Hospitalier du Nord (CHdN) in Ettelbruck, Luxembourg, offers healthy and balanced meals to patients, visitors and hospital staff. As part of the ‘Sou Schmaacht Lëtzebuerg’ initiative, it focuses on fresh, regional ingredients and traditional recipes. The menus are designed to support the recovery process of patients and allow staff to take a relaxing break.
But it is not only good food that contributes to recovery, the atmosphere also plays a decisive role. A well-thought-out lighting concept brings nature into the ‘FORESTaurant’. Custom-made structures made from Liquid Line pendant luminaire with different coloured moss acoustic elements bathe the room in pleasant light and improve the room acoustics at the same time. This interplay creates a calm, relaxed atmosphere, almost like a walk in the woods. This makes the ‘FORESTaurant’ not only a place for catering, but also an oasis of relaxation in the middle of everyday hospital life.
